Oils for Indigestion

Indigestion, aka Dyspepsia, is fairly common. It's characterized by abdominal pain and bloating. If it is accompanied with vomiting (especially containing blood), weight loss, loss of appetite difficulty swallowing or abdominal swelling, you should see a doctor. You should also see a doctor if you're 55 or older and don't normally suffer from indigestion.

Choose one of the following combinations and massage into your abdomen for relief.:

2 drops peppermint essential oil
3 drops ginger essential oil
5 drops lemon essential oil
4 teaspoons carrier oil (sweet almond or grapeseed)

2 drops peppermint
4 drops ginger
4 drops cardamom
4 teaspoons carrier oil

4 drops petitgrain
2 drops peppermint
4 drops roman chamomile
Note: Use half the number of drops in 4tsp carrier oil and this recipe is safe for children.

4 drops orange
2 drops peppermint
4 drops ginger
Note: this one can be used 2-3 times daily, but avoid the sun while using it. It is especially good for children, just use half the amount of essential oil.
